Accepting Payments

There are 2 main ways to accept payments with Xfers.

1. Accept payments for expected orders

Use this method when you have a certain order to fulfill. This should be the method used in most cases. You will typically already know who the customer is and how much they should pay.

Typical use cases are marketplaces, gig platforms and all kinds of e-commerce.

To use this payment method, see more at Create a Payment.

2. Create a persistent payment method linked to one of your customers

Use this method when you require a persistent payment method that keeps polling for new payments from the linked customer. Callback notifications will be fired to you when we detect payments made through the payment method.

These are typically used as a top-up channel to your platform's e-wallet, or fund-holding account.

To use this payment method, see more at Create a Payment Method.
